Agile methode

ODware has extensive experience in development for the media sector and various start-ups. What these two have in common is that the projects are challenging, innovative, but especially under time pressure.

A form of development that is often used is extreme-programming. In as little time as possible, an acceptable product needs to be delivered that can be used functionally. The advantage of extreme programming is that the development period is short. However, this also has a downside. This development time is reduced by extra resources and a continuous process of intensive co-ordination, which demands, in particular, resource capacity. Thus it is a valuable method.

One of the methods that makes a dynamic and interactive course of development possible from beginning to end, is the Agile-method. Agile is based upon short iterations, called sprints, which always end with a result. The advantage is that there is insight after every sprint, and there is room for progression in view. There is room and opportunity for timely adjustments.

Compared to extreme-programming, less resources are necessary, and co-ordination does take place every day, in short, in a so called scrum meeting. With this, the development process has become transparent and there is daily insight in the progress.
